Two basics to consider, no matter which option you choose to explore:
1. Jesus recruits people to join him as People of the Future (POTF); "You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit. . ." John 15.16, New Living Translation
Jesus himself owns and operates the People of the Future (POTF) Campaign team; SYNC does not. You never report to SYNC. There is no SYNC membership. SYNC doesn't even have a DONATE button. SYNC is just one tiny player in the global campaign run by Jesus the "Messiah" (the World-Changer, the Future-Bringer).
Jesus came to earth to recruit POTF, and he was killed because he did that so effectively. His popular movement scared the authorities to death, so they executed him to stop it.
But they failed because Jesus did not stay dead. God raised him back to life so he could keep recruiting, and he is still at it. He is the One who will be talking to you through his Spirit, giving you your assignments as you evolve into a Person of the Future.
2. Recruits are "in" Jesus. "The secret is simply this: Christ in you! Yes, Christ in you, bringing with him the hope of all glorious things to come" (Colossians 1.27).
POTF are not just joining Jesus's cause and "hoping" for a great future. Jesus himself is moving into us by his Spirit. He is already in us and we are in him.
That's how it will be in the future--Jesus with us--and that's what we are already discovering as People of the Future. We live under the transforming influence of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Messianic Future.
